Pinkberry

The line went halfway down the block.  There were enough hipsters to fill an art gallery AND a local Farmers Market.  Yeah, Pinkberry opened in Davis Square this week and we stopped by for one of their famous frozen yogurt treats.  I went with the Butter Pecan topped with Cap'n Crunch, yogurt chips and cheesecake bites but there are plenty of others, of course.

iYO Davis Square

We recently stopped in at iYO Cafe, the new fro-yo and coffee shop in Davis Square.  It's a very cool space with a sleek, clean modern design for casual eats and snacks.

The centerpiece of the cafe is the build your own frozen yogurt sundae bar.  Needless to say, it's quite popular with teens and families.  The soft serve is sold by weight and there are a variety of tempting flavors as well as a good assortment of the typical candy toppings.  There are also plenty of fresh fruit toppings to choose from.

In addition to that are make your own waffle and malt stations, which made us think it might be a fun take on a weekend breakfast meetup.  They also offer a full line of coffees and the coffee (despite all of the competition in the area) was great.

The space features the works of local artists.  The work of Christina Chang was on display during our visit.

In the back is a small but very cool space which we imagine could be used for meetings or impromptu frozen yogurt celebrations.  Great idea for kids of all ages!
