We recently stopped in at Boston Olive Oil Company. We'd strolled by the place many times on Newbury Street and really love olive oil and a good balsamic vinegar so we finally headed inside and were not disappointed. I believe it is the only olive oil tasting bar in the City.
The flavors are all really interesting and it will definitely inspire your creativity in the kitchen. It was fun to imagine what foods all of these amazing flavors could be combined with. They had a lemon flavored oil that would be perfect to drizzle over seafood.
Yes, you can sample an oil or vinegar that may catch your eye but I warn you once you start you will want to taste them all.
In addition to a large variety of flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars they, of course, carry the very best traditional olive oils and balsamics.
