We were very honored last night to attend the 15th annual Lenny Zakim Fund Award Ceremony at The Omni Parker House Hotel, where our friends at Future Chefs accepted their 2nd grant from the Fund. Future Chefs prepares youth for careers in culinary arts and supports them as they transition to the working world. With mentoring and guidance, goal-setting and skill development, they give students opportunities that would otherwise not be available to them. It was a great night of food, fun and meeting lots of new people doing great works all over this City but the highlight of the night was meeting friends from 3rd Eye Unlimited and seeing their performance onstage. Get outside!
As we made our way home, discussing food (oh those lemon scones from Petsi Pies) and the future, we drove across The Zakim Bridge, a perfect ending to a great night.
