Hidden Gem: Brunch At The Huntington

It was a drizzly Saturday morning, the perfect day for brunch with ten friends, guests at The Westin Copley Place. None of us had really ever heard of The Huntington, a hidden gem overlooking Huntington Street and serving brunch every day of the week. On weekends, however, they add an omelette bar and Belgian waffle station for unique, made to order, specialties. We began with this trio of amuse bouche which included an amazing oatmeal bruleƩ.

The Blueberry Banana Yogurt Smoothie was thick, rich and the perfect way to start out.

Look at the precision matchstick cut on that fresh fruit. Beautiful presentation.

I hit up the Breakfast Buffet and loaded up on fritatta, bagel, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, mini pastry and potatoes. It was all filling and well-done breakfast fare.

The signature dish is called The Copley Square and features a decadent Eggs Benedict, a sweet, caramel-drizzled Belgian Waffle, fresh fruit and an orange mango smoothie.

A mound of Hash Browns: both buttery and crisp.

The Salmon Breakfast Plate. I usually order the salmon at breakfast but did not get a chance to try this. How much can a person eat? By the looks of that salmon and those capers, however, I will try it next time.

Corned Beef Has With Poached Eggs. My litmus test of a great brunch is the corned beef hash and The Huntington passed with flying colors, rich and flavorful but not overly greasy or heavy.

The Orange Mango Smoothie was about the best nectar one could get at any brunch.

To say we left anything less than stuffed and fully satisfied would be an understatement. Check out the full menu and definitely try it out.
