New England Food Show 2012

We attended the New England Food Show 2012 this month and spent a very fun day exploring at this hugely successful convention for food service professionals. Bringing together Chefs, vendors, equipment providers and retailers, there was lots to do and see and many new and old friends. We tasted LOTS of soft serve ice cream, including an interesting bubble gum flavor. There were also plenty of cooking demos to attend and ales and IPAs to sample. We ran into the crew from LevelUp, which is revolutionizing loyalty programs and cashless payments at restaurants and retailers. There were lots produce and spice vendors and some interesting new equipment to check out. We even ran into our friend Joe Piantedosi, who sent us off with a warm, delicious mini loaf of freshly baked bread. As usual, a great job by the Massachusetts Restaurant Association and all of the Chefs, Exhibitors and participants. This is always one of our favorite events of the year for learning all of the very latest trends in food service.
