Shock Top Ale Party At Legal Harborside

We were, once again, the only Boston food blog invited to the very nice Shock Top party at Legal Harborside recently. Shock Top Beers really pulled out all the stops to make this a great event, kicking off the debut of their Pumpkin Wheat Ale. We sampled that and the Raspberry Wheat Ale and I can pretty much guarantee that even if you are not a fan of beer you will like these.

Our snack tray featured those tiny champagne grapes. Some guests had actually never even seen these before! We love them.

What is an oceanside party without oysters?

The upper level lounge at Legal Harborside has become a very popular spot on Liberty Wharf. Virtually every restaurant we visited in this area over the summer was packed each night. Go early or you will wait in line on any night of the week.

This cozy, open air lounge right on the water makes it one of Boston's most sought after spots to enjoy the weather, drinks and snacks, friends and, oh yes, that incredible view at sunset.

Two of our favorite bites were these pulled pork sliders and those incredible bacon-wrapped scallops.

A giant floating mural by artist Stan Herd was also created for the event, which kicked off the mural's 3 day tour of the Boston waterfront at many restaurants.

The dramatic highlight of the evening, however, was when the tugboat dragged in the giant mural by Herd.

The mural was parked directly under our 3rd level perch above the water.

Great night sipping these outstanding ales at a great location on the waterfront. With gift bags in hand, we walked past the long line of diners waiting to get in onto the next event. Thank You Shock Top!
