Lunch Stop: Seafood Depot

We stopped in at Seafood Depot in Medford recently for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised. A small, hole-in-the-wall place, they've been serving up quality seafood plates to the area's residents for years. We started off with the bruschetta, which I have to say was excellent. The photo speaks for itself.

A number of reasonable specials are available every day, both seafood and other choices.

In addition to the menu there are a number of prepared meals you can take home and heat up, making it an ideal stop for all of those on the cimmuter rail stop in West Medford, just a few steps away.

We went with the Fish and Chips, halibut served with both french fries and onion rings. Thick, fresh, nicely-fried fillets, we'd have to rate the plate as better than standard fare.

The onion rings are excellent, crispy yet light.
