Taste Of The South End 2011

Welcome to Taste Of The South End 2011. This was our first time at the event which raises tons of money for the Aids Action Committee. We ran into lots of friends like Andrew Rimas of Improper Bostonian, who is looking very svelte these days, and Max Buccini, W Boston Impresario, who is everywhere all the time.

Aside from the friends and fun there were some very interesting flavors. I have to say that the food community in the South End really put out some of their best tastes. Here are just a few of the never-ending party pics before we get to the food.

One great taste was this foie gras from Mistral.

The Mango Crab Salad served in a cone, from Turner Fisheries at The Westin Copley was pretty amazing.

The Duck Breast amuse bouche from Stephi's on Tremont was also a fave.

Yes, we did try the frog legs from Aquitane.

I opted for the Chocolate Cupcake from South End Buttery. Luis went with the Mocha. We both loved the Chai Frappes!

Another great night in Boston, where the food community is so generous to so many worthy causes.
