No Whine With Dinner

I was heading up to Maine for the weekend to polish up a few speeches and relax but could not leave the City when I remembered that Janice and Liz invited me to stop in at their book launch party at the Pilot House on Lewis Wharf. It turned out to be a very cool event filled with interesting people visiting Boston from all over the country discussing food and nutrition. They are both Registered Dietitians who have devoted their books to bringing healthy meals to families with children and answering the question: How do we get kids to eat healthy, nutritous food and make it fun?

With Janice Newell Bissex, co-author.

With Liz Weiss, co-author of NO WHINE WITH DINNER.

This duo is a social media whirlwind. Known as The Meal Makeover Moms, they host a weekly podcast called COOKING WITH THE MOMS, available on iTunes, blog, produce videos on YouTube and Tweet. You can follow them @LizWeiss and @JaniceBissex. They leveraged their extensive social media contacts to have each and every one of these 150 new recipes cooked and tasted by followers and friends! What's more is that they included all of the feedback. Impressive.

So, here's my feedback: this was my own favorite taste of the night.

Congratulations to two very informative and distinguished ladies of food! Kepp up the good work and keep the kids healthy and active.
