Amidst all the hoopla and hype in Central Square yesterday I stepped aside for a refreshingly cool place to hang out. Flour 3 on Mass. Ave. was an oasis.
The design is modern, simple and filled with the foods Joanne Chang loves.
Complicated, delicate pastries fill the tables alongside hearty, flavorful sandwiches.

The pristine, open kitchen is all that any obsessive-compulsive foodie could ask for.
A deliciously warm, simple ham and cheese turnover was my mid-morning, writerly snack.
