Olympic Eating

The average adult diet consists of about 2,000 calories a day.

If you wanted, however, you could easily consume 8-10,000 calories a day without a problem. You could pile on the French toast laden with syrup or powdered sugar, pancakes, bacon, cereal and omelets every day for breakfast.

Then, later on, you could heap plates with steak, mashed potatoes, Caesar salad, ice cream and, just for snacks, as many energy bars as you wanted. You would not even have to think about a low carb diet as it just wouldn't work for you. You'd look fantastic and weight reduction would never come close to a concern.

It's quite simple, really. All you have to do is be this man....

Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps

That's the typical daily diet of Phelps who stands at 6 feet 4 inches and 195 pounds.

Of course you'd have to swim a grueling 7 miles a day, up to 5 hours, 6 days a week.

As Phelps so eloquently puts it: "I eat whatever I want".

Happy Olympics Everyone!

  2. Thank you for your colorful comment, anonymous. I agree it's crazy. I am wondering if I could eat that much even if I tried.
