Cinquecento Opens

Cinquecento is now open in Boston's South End.  We stopped by on Thursday to attend the grand opening party and met up with lots of folks on the Boston blogging and food scene.  The menu features Italian fare and is housed in the beautifully renovated, two level space formerly occupied by Rocca.

With Susan Holaday of Food Service East, enjoying a Basil cocktail especially prepared for the event.

With Dean Igoe of Salem State University.

The impressive new bar design.

Ogling the Maserati's ( a sponsor of the event) parked outside.

This inventive hostess stand was built from a riveted aluminum jet engine casing.  Nice design element!

With Nina Travers, of Marlo Marketing, and Rachel Travers, food and travel writer.

At work doing the social media thing during the event.

With Ellie O'Keefe of Nestle Waters.

These delicious panna cotta samples were a few of the tastes we enjoyed.  We especially liked the arancini and the many crostini bites served.  After being dormant for so long, it was really nice to see the space reinvented and bustling.  We can't wait to go back for dinner.
