Rib Fest 2012

The beautiful young woman of Rindge School Of Technical Arts Culinary Program: (left to right) Jalisa, Biancha and Sabrina.

Today I served as a judge at the third annual Smoke This Rib Festival, sponsored by the East Cambridge Business Association.  It was an absolutely gorgeous Fall day in New England and I am stuffed with ribs but the best part of this event, as always, was meeting the people.  What a great community East Cambridge is!  I stopped and chatted with everyone from all walks of life:  participants, volunteers and attendees.  A lot of people who just see the mouth-watering food pics and descriptions of feasts don't really grasp the social media side as having the ultimate focus on, well, the social.  Meeting people passionate about food and sharing food is every bit as thrilling as the food itself.

The equally beautiful volunteers at Smoke This Rib Fest 2012 (left to right):  Lenora, Amalia, Evelyn and Patricia.  Great meeting you all.

I've narrowed down the winning rib to three choices and will announce number one in a post by the end of the week.  In the meantime, it seems like everyone today was a winner.
