Weekend Events May 4-6

Overwhelmed by the cataclysmic Kentucky de Mayo events you've been invited to this weekend? Well, not that we'd ever turn down a well-crafted mint julep while taking in sports' most exciting moment, an annual tradition we savor, there is LOTS more to do this weekend.

First up is the Greenway Food Truck Festival on Saturday. It's been a long, dreary week. Get out there and experience the Greenway and all the fabulous food, free music and fun. We'll be there!

Before, or after that, you can soak up all the local art culture you can handle at Somerville Open Studios 2012.  We like this event because some of the artists are, well, really out there. Stop in and visit a few and still make it to gate time for the race.

On Sunday (clear skies predicted, finally) you can start out at the South End where SOWA will kick off their open air season. Art, crafts and lots of food and all of it local. We love local.

From there head on over to Harvard Square's Mayfair 2012. Quaff a brew in the Beer Gardens and enjoy the many musical acts throughout the Square.

All events are family friendly with plenty of stuff for kids and plenty of everything else for the adult kids.
