It was chili, chili, chili last week at Ned Devine's Chili Cup 2012, where sixteen area restaurants competed for the best chili taste in Boston. There were all kinds of chili, from chicken to brisket, spicy to mild and everything in between. We tasted just about all of them, in between sips of corona, spotted lots of friends and fellow bloggers in the crowd and cast our ballot for the eventual winner: Flat Iron Tapas Bar at The Bulfinch! Their classic red bean chili was rich and meaty with a hint of sweetness and moderate heat, a really nice blend. Congratulations to Flat Iron, Yasmin McCarthy, Food and Beverage Manager, Jimmy Guzman, General Manager and all of the other participants. Very fun night.
