We recently stopped in at City Table, located at the Lenox Hotel, for a nice dinner at the bar with Hannah Kempski. I started off with the Mediterranean cocktail: Gin, Campari, Mathilde Peach and Grapefruit Juice.
Next up was the House Made Buratta Cheese Salad with Heirloom and Cherry Tomatoes, Watermelon Croutons, Baby Arugula, Sea Salt, Crushed Pistachios and Raspberry Balsamic. I loved the idea of watermelon croutons and the cheese was fantastically fresh.
Maine Lobster Crab Cake, pan seared, with Grilled Corn and Tomatillo Salsa and Grapefruit Honey Salad. Nice combo of lobster and crab here.
The Home Made Potato Chips are served with a Spicy Dipping Sauce. How could we resist? I could have eaten that entire basket.
We ended with the Seared Day Boat Scallops, Pecan Crusted, served with Cilantro Carrot Sauce and Citrus Fennel Salad. Very nice.
A great little spot that is often overlooked, just off that elegant lobby of the iconic Boston hotel, you may want to stop in next time your in the Copley/Prudential area.
