Sneak Peek: Inside Del Frisco's Boston

Touring the construction site of the new Del Frisco's Boston with General Manager Gregg Rinaldi. (In this photo we are standing very close to what will be the bar area of the restaurant).

It is very rare to be invited inside to tour a restaurant still under construction. Usually, it's kept under very tight wraps until every, last detail is perfected. That's why we are thrilled to give you this first look inside Del Frisco's, located in the Liberty Wharf section of the Seaport where the old Jimmy's Harborside used to be. The location is prime, needless to say. We love architecture and design so having this view of a work in progress was quite the treat. Several new restaurants are opening in this area soon but none, in my opinion, are going to have anything near this legendary vantage point. Let's take a look inside.

The small entrance area is on the first level and will contain an impressive glass wall which will store a selection of the thousands of wine bottles on display.

Here is the Architect's rendition of the final design.

The bar (seen here in the far right of the shot) will be round and covered with an overhang that displays yet more bottles of wine. There will be a smaller, private dining room as well as a larger meeting room complete with all of the latest technology in presentation equipment, including video conferencing

Again, this drawing shows the final design look. Each seat at the bar will have a full view of either the Harbor (to the East) or the Boston skyline (to the North). If you have never seen the city skyline from the Seaport area it is really dazzling at night, much more looming and impressive than the typical view from the Charles.

The Harbor view, with plenty of window seating.

The kitchen fixtures seem to be the most complete area of the construction with the restaurant slated to open on April 23rd.

The patio dining will not only have a view of the Harbor, and overlook those impressive yachts moored just outside, but is also clearly close enough to the Bank Of America Concert Pavilion to hear every note of the music. Book my Friday nights for July and August now!

  1. Del Frisco's spared now expense in this location! I was there last week for their opening party and it was one of the best events I have been too!

Check out my pictures from the Opening Party!
