Clover

We had been to the Clover Food Lab before but had not been by their new Cambridge brick and mortar location since it opened. Clover's menu is all vegetarian, something which we don't usually seek out but find a refreshing change when we find it. There is something for everyone on the limited menu and it's kept that way so that the focus will always be on freshly prepared, quality ingredients. It's been a very popular concept and the food trucks, which pioneered the movement in the Boston area, are doing better than ever.

If you've never been to Clover before you will be greeted by an order-taker and a smart board menu that updates automatically for the exact wait times for what it is you may want to order, the perfect hi-tech touch for that busy lunch time rush.

The open kitchen concept is employed here, which we love. Everything is visible, even from the birds eye view on the second level.

We went with the chickpea fritter, always a good choice, and an iced tea. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation is still top notch, with very fresh ingredients.

The space is very bright and airy with two levels and looking out to Holyoke Street, just across from the New Harvard Theater.

  1. I've been to the food truck on the Greenway several times but still haven't made it to the restaurant!
