Wine Of The Week

This week's wine is La Petite Perriere Sauvignon Blanc 2008 by Guy Saget. The venerable Guy Saget Winery in now operated by the fifth generation of the Saget family. Guy Saget sources two thirds of the production of the Loire Valley both with their own extensive estates and long-term relationships with families of other vine growers in this region of France.

Notes: This Sauvignon Blanc has a bright gold color and a strong, fruity bouquet. It is a clean, well-balanced, refreshing taste with a good length. Although complex, it finishes with an unmistakable note of ripe melon. A very nice wine from a long-standing, well-known and respected family of dedicated winemakers.

Grape Variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Finished Alcohol: 12.5%
