Boston Burger Bash 2010 Winner

Chefs Ming Tsai of Blue Ginger and Ken Oringer of KO Prime relax for a moment before the event begins.

Boston burger lovers all converged at the Nine Zero Hotel last night for the Boston Burger Bash 2010 hosted by Chef Ken Oringer of KO Prime, all in support of the organization AUTISM SPEAKS. Over cocktails, participants were free to roam and taste ten different flavor combinations created and prepared by some of Boston's most famous Chefs, then vote for their favorite burger.

It might be partly due to HD technology, where you can literally hold a quality video recorder in the palm of your hand, but what I really like about this video is that everyone is so focused that nobody even seemed to notice that I was there.

The contest Judges gather to announce the winners of the competition. Second Place Award goes to TORO in a very close race.

Chef Brooke Vosika (second right) and his team accept the First Place Award from Andrew Rimas, Managing Editor of The Improper Bostonian.

Chef Vosika of THE BRISTOL LOUNGE won the competition with his burger featuring dry aged ground chuck beef, foie gras torchon, lettuce, tomato and bearnaise sauce served on a peppered brioche bun and topped with a truffled potato ring.

Ken Oringer of KO Prime and Erica Giunta, Acting Executive Director, New England Chapter for Autism Speaks.

Of course, the real winners were the Nine Zero Hotel and KO Prime, who sponsored this event, and all of the people who came out to support the cause AUTISM SPEAKS. We'll be featuring lots more party pics and video interviews from this event in the week ahead.
