Apparently it's National Chocolate Week over in the U.K. so my friend Trig of Aidan Brooks: Trainee Chef sent me this meme. I thought every week was chocolate week in the U.K. myself but I am always game for more chocolate in one's life.
Dark, white or milk?
Generally dark although I have my milk chocolate stretches.

Favourite chocolate dish, sweet or savoury?
Savoury. My latest fix is Vosges dark cubes with coarse salt.

A chocolate memory
The amazing small cup of hot cocoa we were rewarded with after playing hockey on freezing cold mornings at Belmont Hill School, with an outdoor rink I might add. I am sure it was crap but to us it was Heaven and it took our minds off the cold.
Favourite chocolate bar
Currently the Ritter Sport Butter Biscuit bar. I send away for Maltesers for the family.

If you could only have one specific chocolate for the rest of your life, what would it be?
The blocks of Ghiradelli I chop up and melt into warm milk. This just may have something to do with the chocolate memory!
The Vosges cubes look gorgeous! I've never seen anything like them before in the UK, I will surf for them immediately! :)
ReplyDeleteI still think it's better with a single large crystal of salt, rather than a sprinkling of crushed salt. Anyhow, it seems that you and I have taught Sarah something about food with this one.
ReplyDeleteIt is an experience Sarah and I will try that Trig. One crystal would be a more refined sensation. Thanks both.
