There were actors from "The Sopranos", local Chefs and Restaurateurs, Sports Celebs, a full band and about one thousand of Nick Varano's closest friends on hand last Sunday for the grand opening bash at Strega Prime in Woburn. The former Beacon Grille has been totally revamped and redesigned into an upscale Steakhouse with the signature Varano sleek, contemporary design.
One enters into a large bar and lounge area in this very spacious establishment with plenty of parking.
An impressive modern fireplace lines the wall of the large main dining area. We enjoyed one of the best quality antipasto buffets we've had in a long time,noshed on tuna tartare, beef sliders and fresh desserts such as a key lime tart as we mixed with the huge crowd. It was a great afternoon and if the event was any indication of what's to come it will be the great Italian fare and impressive service that is a hallmark the Varano Group with quality steaks such as Dry Age Sirloin and Ribeye (both $47) thrown in.
