Bread + Butter
We're always on the lookout for great new bakeries and Bread + Butter is one of them, right on the edge of the North End. Almost on the corner of Hanover Street, there is plenty of outdoor seating for a nice cappuccino as you watch the world pass by.
Coffees, drink and all kinds of savory and sweet pastries baked fresh on the premises are offered at this light, airy European style cafe.
We sampled the butter croissants and chocolate croissants, both excellent and in the price range of $2-3.00, well worth it for the quality.
We also loved that cow wallpaper in the rest rooms and the overall design of the space. Service was both efficient and polite.
And if you've got time to spare you can simply walk across the street and enjoy the beautiful Rose Kennedy Greenway which comes alive in Summer with families and visitors from all over the world. On the hot day we stopped by there were lots of kids enjoying a run through the fountains to cool off. If it's been a while since you've visited the North End, a cultural gem in Boston, we highly recommend a stroll through this iconic Boston neighborhood.
