With Lindsay Rotondi at Skybokx 109 Gastropub Sports Bar.
Even the Minuteman showed off to kick off the festivities and pose for pics, making it a fun night for all as the colonials mixed and mingled with the crowd.
We munched on pizza, sliders and desserts. Everything we had was far above what you would call your average bar fare.
The marble-topped bars are long, with plenty of space to catch the game on TV screens, plus booths along one side should you care to sit while enjoying your meal.
We loved this room in the back with a large-screen TV and plenty of comfy seating to bring your friends along and enjoy the big game. It's like having your very own spacious, well-appointed man cave with never-ending drinks and food served!
The best part of the evening, however, may have been meeting the college athletes and students involved in Team Impact. This non-profit organization matches college athletes with seriously ill young children to improve their quality of life. The group was described to us as a cross between Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Make A Wish Foundation. It was amazing to see all of these local college athletes who could have easily spent their nights elsewhere playing with these young children, some of whom are terminally ill. They carried them around on their shoulders to meet and greet all the team mascots, posed for photos and everyone was laughing and smiling all along the way. Truly heartwarming. Congratulations Skybokx 109 and kudos to Team Impact!
